Confirm the requirements
Confirm your document, signer, identity, recipient, and online-eligibility requirements before scheduling.
Choose an available appointment
Select a genuinely available Wells appointment time, shown clearly in your local timezone.
Complete pre-appointment steps
Provide the required information and complete card authorization ahead of your session.
Meet online and complete the notarization
Verify your identity, join the audio-video session, sign as directed, and complete the notarial act.
Complete payment
Your card is captured only after successful completion. If service is not completed, the authorization is released or cancelled according to policy.
Before your appointment
- Have eligible, current identification ready for identity verification
- Confirm your device has a working camera, microphone, and stable internet connection
- Review your document and confirm your recipient’s requirements
- Arrange any required witnesses—Wells does not provide witnesses
- Do not sign in advance unless specifically instructed that early signing is permitted
What happens if we cannot proceed?
A session may need to pause or end if identity cannot be verified, the signer cannot communicate directly, the document or requested act is not eligible, a required witness is missing, technology fails, or the receiving party’s requirements are unclear. Wells will not charge a notarial fee for an act that was not performed.
